Guinea Bissau Minister in Cuba

Havana, Jan 27 (RHC-PL).- Guinea Bissau Prime Minister Aristides Gomes has arrived in Havana, heading his nation's official delegation to the 13th meeting of the Mixed Intergovernmental Commission.

According to a note published by Granma newspaper, the group is comprised of Foreign Business, International Cooperation and Community Minister Antonio Isaac Monteiro, Natural Resources Minister Aristides Ocante Da Silva, and other high-ranking government officials from the African nations.

During their stay on the island, which runs through January 31st, the prime minister and his accompanying delegation are scheduled to fulfil a packed agenda of activities that includes meetings with Cuban government officials and visits to sites of economic, social and historic interest.

Cuba and Guinea Bissau established diplomatic ties on October 1, 1973.
